Tis the season for hot chocolate

Common chatter around town is that of “November already”. So yes, it’s on my mind too, 2014 is almost over , another year’s gone by…But it’s November and that enchanting season has begun. The christmassy chill is in the air and it is absolutely lovely!

The delight of walking in this weather is exceptionally peculiar to me.Chilly breeze slapping your face and the running into patches of almost accidental warm sun, bliss. These blissful moments must not be allowed to end abruptly but should be followed by a warm gratification, hot chocolate.

Goblet of hot chocolate

Goblet of hot chocolate

Here’s my rendition..I like it simple and light.

What you need:

Coco powder | Powered sugar | Milk | Powered cinnamon &

A Goblet/ Large mug/a chalice

Method:

Let the milk simmer in a pan for a few minutes. To your goblet add a generous spoonful of bitter coco powder.Add a little of the simmering milk to the powder to dissolve it.Let the milk simmer a little longer, allow to slightly thicken.Pour the milk into a shaker or a flask and shake vigorously.Pour the frothy milk into the goblet and stir.I like to add just a tad bite of sugar as i like my chocolate bitter.Sprinkle with coco powder and powered cinnamon. There you have it, a lactic chocolate brew.

Curl up on your couch with a dog in one hand and a hot chocolate in the other, partake.
